I want to complete a bachelor’s degree
Want to audit a class? Auditing a course consists of attendance at classes and listening but taking no part in the class. Visit the Undergraduate Admissions website and scroll down to the “Auditing Students” section to apply.
I haven’t attended college
If you haven’t taken any college courses, we encourage you to review the Transfer Admissions Guidelines to see how to gain admission to ECU. You may wish to attend a local community college to meet these transfer requirements.
You may find the CAA Baccalaureate Degree Plans helpful in choosing courses. Some majors have specific eligibility requirements, visit the degree explorer to learn more about each major.
I have some college credit
If you have taken college credits, even if it was a while ago, please review the transfer requirements: Minimum Transfer Requirements. Official transcripts from all previous institutions are required and should be sent to Undergraduate Admissions.
Visit the Transfer Hub – ECU’s one-stop to plan, apply, discover, enroll, engage, and succeed in Pirate Nation.

How to request transcripts
Contact the Registrar’s Office of each school you attended. There is typically a link on the Registrar’s page to request official transcripts electronically.
Please note:
Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission nor does it guarantee admission into your academic program of interest.
Offers of admission are extended on the basis of a competitive review process and are subject to enrollment limits.
Only courses with a grade of C or higher from regionally accredited institutions are eligible to transfer and can be used to gain admission.
I previously attended ECU
ECU welcomes you back to finish what you started. If you attended ECU but did not complete your degree, please review the details to apply for readmission.
Partway Home
If you completed more than 90 credits, we invite you to review the Partway Home Program.
